Freedom Academy Signs the Pledge to Parents, Reinforcing Commitment to Truth, Trust, and Academic Excellence
PHOENIX, AZ — Freedom Academy, a K–8 charter school known for defending childhood and restoring trust in education, announced today that it has officially signed the Pledge to Parents©, becoming the first school in the nation to do so.
By signing the pledge, Freedom Academy affirms its commitment to academic excellence, transparency, and partnership with parents—prioritizing education over ideology. The Pledge to Parents© is a national initiative designed to ensure that schools focus on teaching academics and real-world pathways to success, not political agendas or victimhood narratives.
“The Pledge to Parents isn’t political—it’s principled,” said Christy Narsi, President of Freedom Academy. “Parents deserve schools that honor their role, will not lie about biological reality, and will educate—not indoctrinate. Signing this pledge wasn’t a new direction for us—it was simply putting in ink what’s already in our DNA, and what should be in the DNA in every school.”
Freedom Academy’s leadership believes the pledge marks an important moment for education in Arizona and across the nation, as more families seek schools that prioritize academic rigor, moral integrity, and putting an end to harmful political agendas in the classroom.
“This isn’t just about one school,” Narsi added. “It’s about restoring confidence in the classroom, rebuilding trust between parents and educators, and declaring to our communities there is a free, public school setting this standard for their kids.”
The Pledge to Parents© is the first and only national commitment that recognizes parents are not bystanders—they are the primary authority in their child’s education. The Pledge to Parents© is a national call for schools to reaffirm what should never have been lost: a true partnership between schools and families.
